a guy here in town sells Sound Stream... a friend of mine bought a t410... its a beasty little guy, although he hasnt hooked it up yet... anyway. the who sells SS also has the new SS XXX, this thing is a monster, but again it isnt hooked up yet... and ive heard nothing but good things about it all over online.. its supposed to be a threat to other major subs like the RE XXX and things of that sort... and a couple people here have some of their lower line components and they are alright.. but i think SS isnt bad really... maybe around MTX, Kicker stuff.

I was running a 480.2 bridged at 1ohm for about 3 mounth steadily pounding on it and no problems
I doubt they'd warrenty it if it blew at 1 ohm.

Well....
You can strap two RE 12.1s together for 2400x1@2ohm :p

I want to run them at a 2ohm load (for one reason or another)...

ahhh...those soundstream numbers look so so beautiful...

If I had to choose between:

Soundstream
Hifonics
MA Audio
Visonik

I'd choose Soundstream.
Now all three, aside from Soundstream, are commonly used/recommended amps for cheap power... pretty much almost the standards on the several forums I read.

Personally, I'd probably look to Phoenix Gold or Exile. And also Resonant Engineering (seems the 12.1 is perfect for you), or Treo possibly, all of these being quality, beefy amplifiers. Do any of these companies have an amp that would suit your needs? If so then the bottom line is price I guess... I'm sure I can help you get your hands on the RE 12.1, and IIRC, for about $379. (don't quote me on that)
