yeah man ryan's right the truth unless you have some HEAVY serious electrical upgrades you can forget about 4,000rms , and audiobahns are very ineficient products, especially amps, if i were you id get that jbl 1200 its stable at 1 ohm and cross my fingers that my electrical might last for a while.

just because the sub is rated to accept 4Kw doesn't mean it needs that much power to reach peak output.
remember that.

1Kw of juice may be all it needs to reach full excursion in a good box.
don't mistake a thermal power rating for mechanical power requirements.

I agree, buy a new sub(s)..maybe something a little more efficient..that runs off less power..that audiobahn is ridiculous.

Tru Technology SH-1

4,000 Watts RMS is insane. Unless you have a high output alternator and like 6 extra batteries forget it.

Either push it with a JBL 1200.1 or find a new sub. YOu wont find any amp worth a crap that has more than thats many watts for that cheap, just is not going to happen.

Sorry to give it to you real, but someone has to.

You would be way ahead of the game to sell that overgrown power sucker and buy something worthwhile, in my opinion.

im looking at the rockford fosgate power T20001bd or the JBL BPx2200.1. The rockford fosgate runs 2000 watts at 1ohm and the jbl runs 2450 at 4ohms. The jbl is about $100 bucks cheaper but i heard alot of good things about the rockford. :help:

The JBL 1200.1 is one ohm stable. What upgrades do you have to your cars electrical system? In order to run that kind of power you'll need a h.o alternator or two, maybe even a few batteries, which wont be cheap. You probably already knew that, but I thought I would bring it up just in case. Anyways, good luck on our system... :thumb:

Orion 2500d perhaps

the jbl sounds nice but i would like something that is 1 ohm stable and has a little more power up to like $700 price wise. if you could feel the low bass this speaker hits you would want to keep it to sorry justin

The JBL 1200.1 is a pretty good choice. It puts out its rated power, maybe even a bit more. Do you have a h.o alternator? My cousin had the audiobahn 2300, it was complete crap. As for the sub... I would take Justins advice and buy another sub with a lower and more realistic rms rating. Anyways, good luck.
