wierd readings on amp

I went and measured my output today to get a rough idea of what type of wattage I was getting and I came up with some really wierd readings. (voltage x voltage) / ohms should give me an idea of what the wattage is correct ?

If so I got a 15.1 volts on my left channel and 3.1 volts on my left, the thing is that both channels sound equal to my ears. I measured at the amp's outputs and at the input to my crossover. I understand that there is not always the same amount of sound going to both the left and right channels at the same time but the readings should not be THIS off. Is there a chance that I have a malfunctioning channel on my amp ?
