if you get a 2000rms amp you might want to look into getting an HO alt if you dont already have one .....

by aka_albino » Mon Feb 13, 2006 8:33 pm

yes that is the same type of amp i have been looking at i will probly go with one that that has a better warranty. they are close in price where ever u look.

by CadillacDB » Mon Feb 13, 2006 8:22 pm

No one is Bashing anything an retail on Hifonics is way too high altho if you bought off ebay you would be getting a good price an i didnt say they were all under rated because if you read carefully you would see that i also said the ones with 05 at the end are rumored to do there rated power ( an they are the 05 models so i didnt say they were all under rated )...

Below is one sheet ive also seen two other one at ecoustics forums an one at Realm of excursion but i cant find them

Roughly 90 percent of rated power at 14.4 V

yea but from when did you see those test sheets? hifonics arnt like they were 2 years ago. they have redone there amplfiers and are now producing what they say. id say about 75% of the competitors at the last show were running either maxxsonics (autotek, hifonics) or American bass vfl series. infact my 4000.1 has benched at 5600 rms when its rated for 4kw. u can bash them all you want but for the price there hard to beat.

hifonics put out what they say or damn close to it. ever amp i have sold from them put out the power that they said they did.

by CadillacDB » Sat Feb 11, 2006 5:14 am

Hifonics puts out about 80 percent of its rated power, altho there have been rumors that the new ones ( the ones with 05 at the end like the 1605D ) put out very close to there rated power

but you dont have to break your bank just to push that sub because at ikesound you can buy a Orion D2400 for under $400 shipped, i just bought two of that same amp an right now they are sitting in my closet an im saving up some more money to buy two RE XXX 15's to use with those amps
