The only place where I think I would have a problem with them snapping is in the back seat somewhere... I CANT FIND A PLACE ANYWHERE TO MOUNT THESE!!!

Ok I lied the only place that I can mount these is right under the back seat and they still may break there. I can’t put them under the drivers/passengers seat because there is some sort of metal casing below the seat. I was thinking of mounting them to the floor like real far under my drivers/passengers seat but I don’t think that will work. Once I get them I’m sure I will find a place.

Now Chris told me he uses the strong double stick tape (obviously not scotch tape) but do you think that would work or does this thing weigh too much?

You sure about that? I bought a meteor stick from there. It can with the expansion slot bracket for a computer. Thinking other stuff may be the same way, being they are sunbeam or whatever brand.

The 2 I got in the headliner, which are form Oznium (bought them from a person that got them form oznium), look and feel just like the ones you'd buy from Compusa. Same thickness of tube, same bulb.

actually neon for in-car use comes in much heavier plastic tubes.
most of the cathodes I've used were designed for PC cases and break with almost equal force as of that required to snap a bread stick in half.

Yes, it is just a switch. The 4" are the same price as the 12", just get the 12". I have 4 pairs of the red 12" ones in my Focus. Two under the dash, two under the seats, and 4 lighting up the back area. They light up the whole damn car, no joke.

ok thats good you gave me a heads up! now i'm really thinking of putting these tubes all over my car if they are THAT cheap! i think i'm going to go with 3 sets of the 4 inch models... has anyone tried the 4 inch(oh god that didnt sound good)?

one other question is what is a round rocker switch? is that the same as a normal switch?

Well the cathodes do come in a fairly thick protective tube, but they can be broken with about the same amount of force as a neon I'd say

bend a cathode tube a bit and it snaps. after that it's dead.
not what you'd want to use under-car. (use LEDs there)
cathodes work much better under dashes, in boxes, etc.. where they don't get kicked or bent.
