Well I am going to go against the grain here...
I think your e1200 may be putting close to 200 watts @ 4ohms with the engine running. In which case a 50watt increase wont be much gain if any at all.

I am going to guess that you suspect the amp is underpowering the sub by 1 of 2 reasons...

1) the specs are eating away at your curiosity... to which I have to say this... the JL e6450 a 6 channel amp was tested @ 300+watts bridged & it is rated @ no more than 150watts... food for thought, and a good reason to have it benched.

2) Your sub setup isn't as loud as you expected... this could be attributed to the box (type & or build) or it simply just isn't capable of the spl levels you want.

ya. but that was really weird though on those amps because they are only 150 watts difference and it was alot more than that and the price is about 1/2.

i used a new kicker amp 1250 something with the digital settings and i thought it was really wussy. it was suppose to put out like 1450 watts and i put a hifonics 1605 in its place and the hifonics stomped the hell out of that kicker amp. it was alot more than a 150 watt difference it was like 600.
+

Then get the SX2500, and then tell me who stomps who

JBL BP180.2 will do 360 bridge at 4 ohms. You could snag one off ebay for cheap. Is your box sealed or ported?
