most 4 channel amps are actually two separate/discrete two-channel amps in one housing.
a 5 channel amp is pretty much the same way using two stereo class AB amplifier topologies, and a class D topology for the subwoofer channel.
a few newer ones I believe are pure class T throughout since that allows for more efficiency and full range operation with a smaller footprint and less heat.

Can you even do Class D and Class A\B on one amp, or are they all Class A\B?
