i do have the "BASS", "MID", and "TREB" adjustments in my factory head unit that i could use. Not sure what frequencies those adjust, but i guess if my EQX is crossing over at 90hz/24db, then most of the sound affected by the "BASS" option should be what's getting routed to sub amp after being summed by the LC6i and then crossed over by the EQX. I should probably wait until the install is done and then see how that works before dropping more coin on the remote knob. Alright, 'good talk Russ' :)

If you do decide to go with it, don't tune with it all the way up. Set it to 1/2 to 3/4, and tune from there. That way you have a little bit of headroom.

That being said, I don't think you will need it.

Once you get your truck fully tuned, you will rarely mess with the adjustments. If anything, you will probably end up cutting the hight end, and that you can do from the head unit.

Even in a stereo like mine, I only have 3 settings. Daily driver, Showoff, and comp.

The only difference between the three, how much cut I'm running to my mid range and tweets. All other setting are the exact same.

AND...... Its always better to cut than it is to boost.

Anyone have an opinion the the [url=http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5260_PAC+LC1.html]PAC LC1[/url] or similar devices? I'm basically just looking for a way to turn down the bass in my 2 amp setup at will. I'm NOT looking for a bass boost or anything that messes with my EQ settings. For installation, I'm assuming I would just turn this knob up to its max level, then set my gains/levels. That way i could only reduce the level of the signal going to my sub amp if i wanted to (which is all i need), and if someone borrowed my truck they wouldn't be able to crank it and mess anything up.

All of my equipment is mounted on the back wall of my truck (diagram attached). I'm using an LC6i to tap into the speaker wires coming out of the factory amp, which is also mounted on the back wall. I'm summing those channels and running that into an EQX. If I installed this PAC LC1 remote knob, I'm assuming it would need to go in between the RCA coming out of the lowpass output of the EQX and my sub amp.

I guess my question is do you think i will lose any SQ or pickup any signal noise if i run an RCA cable all the way from the back of the truck up to the knob on the dash and back to the back of the truck? I have a couple KnuKonceptz Klarity RCA cables, which aren't the BEST out there, but they are decent.
