I'd like to try my hand at it as well. I might try and tint my mustangs windows, if it turns out like crap I'll just take it in and have them redo it. Tint's not really that expensive.

I have had an itch to learn to tint for awhile, but for all above reasons I AINT. LOL

Think I'll leave that for Terry.

I've watched every video on youtube, monkey something or another, and probably five other sites to learn as much as I could. I think they only show you enough to make you believe they're showing you all the info. I bet there's plenty that's going unmentioned. lol. I'll probably give it another try down the road, but for now, I'm concentrating on the system in my car to get that ball rolling.

I just dipped the entire chunk of tint into soapy (Dawn dishsoap) water and sprayed the entire backwindow with the same solution. Water was running everywhere but the tint was easy to slide around, pull off and re-apply if needed.

i made my name in tint doing corvettes, camaros and firebirds in one piece......not easy to learn. requires more patience than i used to have...

you do know it only shrinks one way right

by GlassWolf » Sat Apr 17, 2010 5:22 pm

you should try the back window on my charger. compound curves, and HUGE. nto a fun one to do.

try one with compound curves and its really hard

A window that's flat or even close to it isn't too bad. But as soon as it curves a little bit ... holly hell.
