Antennae Inteference

by AleroAudio » Mon Jan 25, 2010 9:25 pm

Vehicle:03 Olds Alero
Headunit: Sony MEX-BT5100
Amp:Memphis 500Rms Mono
Subs: 2 Memphis PR15 10inch

For a long time i thought my cruddy radio signal was the result of where i cut the coaxil cable up by the passenger floorwell, but now i've done a proper connection with pieces from radioshack and was still having lots of static.
So i started pulling things apart and playing with them and found that if i turn off the amp, the radio signal is perfect.

Some how I have interference with the radio signal when my amp and subs are on. (I'm sure it involves my amp and subs because the signal is flawless when i turn the switch to my remote wire off.) And yes the Ant Rem is connected to a 12v source

The power cable is down the driverside, the RCA and Remote wire is ran along the center underneath the passenger seat, beneath the carpet, and the coaxil for the radio is ran along the passenger side.

I think that the bass could be disturbing the end of the antenna cable, but i have no clue where the Inline Antenna ends?

Any ideas on this?
