HD is nice. I opted for the HD radio tuner module and the PC streaming media module for my Onkyo NR-5007 @ home.
With an outdoor tower antenna, I can pick up stations clear out to Atlanta from Columbia, and the signal is crystal.

I have a possibly stupid question regarding this but... Is Satellite radio broadcasted in HD quality? Or what? I've heard Satellite compared to regular radio and its worlds better.

I love my satellite radio... anyone?

Pretty similar.

how would you compare the sound of hd radio to a cd?

by Bwcad1 » Wed Dec 23, 2009 3:48 pm

I went through all of my stations we get today. Of all the stations only 4 of them dont broadcast in HD.

digital signals go a certain distance then drop off analog tapers off and can be listened to from greater distances

they are freeing up those analog frequencies to sell to private companies

id be willing to try an hd but i doubt we have many stations in alaska and i dont really listen to the radio or watch tv that much
