I can vouch that support from IMS has been great. Call them 24/7 at 877-484-8444 to see how fast they pick up. Thats what I did before I switched over.

Yes I want to get him both. 410 is good enough to deer hunt and the 22 will be good for him to learn with. Mobile they have several versions of this gun for adults too, including one thats a 17hmr. a 270 and a 50cal.(three barrels)http://www.rossiusa.com/product-details.cfm?id=69&category=2&toggle=&breadcrumbseries=

i had a Ruger 10/22 for a while. Until some punks thought they liked it better than I did and took it when they broke in.

I loved that gun, me and my dad had loads of fun with it.

I've had lots of fun with Ruger 10/22's. From the hip with a 30 shot clip is stupid fun.

I've been thinking about picking up a couple cheap guns, probably a .22, a 12 gauge, maybe even a deer rifle.

Probably won't happen real soon, but maybe over the next year or so.

Do you want both a shotgun and .22 rifle? If you just want a .22, I vote for getting him a Ruger 10/22. I love mine to death and it's seen thousands of rounds. That should last him for years.
