Check your ground and RCA's.

Yeah, just figured there was a possibility of you switching them accidentally during your first check of the entire system. It happens.

a digital multi-meter would answer all of your questions. put it on ac volts to check if there is anything coming out of your amp, and check the resistivity of the woofers to make sure the coil isn't f'd up

yea. they are plugged into the right part of the amp. if they wernt it wouldnt had been playing when before they stopped working

RCA's are fine? They're plugged into the "Input" and not the "Output" of the amp?

nope that was not the problem. all the wires inside of the box were fine. and i did a second check over the whole system : the head unit, amp and sub wires are all fine but i still cannot figure out what the problem is
