well at the time it only had 17,??? miles on it, and ran perfect. it was mint, and the saleman seen it as the perfect car for an elderly person, and she was going to trade for a first year ext. cab Colorado but since her car was a gift she didnt want to upset anyone.. now she regrets it every day lol..and now the driver fender has a nice dent in it because her brother backed in to it, the armrests and some of the drivers side door by the locks has burn holes because of fireworks we set off from the car lol.. but the car runs strong and takes us all over with no problems.. just no ac lol.. but has a system and sounds good to us so it keeps us happy. im "trying" to sell me truck and would like to get a 4x4 truck, somethin like an older chevy or yota.. yada.. put a lift and tires on it and have some fun :words

I believe that somebody told you that, I just can't believe you didn't laugh in their face.
If it was a bandit edition, or an anniversary edition, I can easily believe that offer. A friend of mine locally has about half a dozen 77-79 T/As and some are worth quite a bit, even in so-so condition because of their rarity.

haha... we had a shop come get it and they tapped/dyed it or whatever and all is well... and the car runs great and is in good shape... but it did sit for over 4 years without being started and may need a new fuel filter and stuff... a dealer ship in town offered $9,000 for it, but her parents wouldnt let her because it would be an insult to her grandmother or some junk...

I had an 89 Taurus. Best thing you can do to fix it, is take it to a car crusher.

Ahh that's crappy. I was looking for a picture or a link to a pair of exhaust pipe vice grips. They would work because they have such a large diameter, if you could get them in there that is.

that stinks sorry you weren't able to get it off.
