My buddy has a early 90's ram (cummins) that has around 750,000 miles.

Of course he's the orginal owner, it's all hwy miles (he owns an escorting business/big trucks), and he's replaced pretty much the who truck part by part more than a few times...

I actually painted it back when I was 17-18 y.o's, it was my first full paint job. I had painted a bunch of fenders and such for my buddies little dealer ship that I worked for, but never a complete vehicle. Didnt turn out to bad. Of course he's put about a million miles on it since then (back in '01), but he still pretty pleased with it.

dude you aint even kidding. At my previous job, route salesman, we had a bunch of Ford trucks F-350-F-450's. One of the F-350's had like 200,000 on it when I took it over by the time I was done with it, it had 285,000. So yeah those older ones are built like tanks, not putting the new ones down by any means, I just have personal experience with the older ones.

My Cuz had a K5 Blazer that had about 140k when he bought it ... Only made it to 160k... He lifted it 3" and threw some larger tires on it... The engine started to knock and then out of know where it threw a piston.

He just threw it away.... TOO bad the body was in perfect shape... I'm sure someone snatched it up and threw a new motor in it.

Thanks for all the input cause I do like having the ideas of people on here seeing as how so many of us do fool with cars quite a bit.

I vote for 4.0 ranger.... and this is coming from somebody who has a 4.3 s10.

Banks will usually loan up to the clean trade in value.

i'd say unless you can get it for about 25-2700 then its not worth it, as previously stated there are plenty of fish in the sea right now. I bet that truck will stay up for sale for a while because of the high asking price you never know he may drop it
