Ok back to this!

Since I now have 3D design capabilities once again, I can get this moving.

80/20 has a TON of extruded aluminum for cheap on E Bay... My thing is I need something light enough I can move around. Since I live up stairs and have a downstairs basement, I need to be able to move it around.

No its not hard to operate. It makes cutting wood panels for sub boxes mega easy and fast.

Right now to cut the wood for a sub box the way I do it, it can take me up to 2hours worth of fiddling around/cutting.

With a saw like this. I could literally have all the pieces cut inside 15 minutes.

I just found the 80/20 outlet store on E Bay where I cn buy this aluminum for less. Most of it is used, but I dont care. Dont need it to be pretty- just to work. Bonus is the 80/20 place i not even 3 hours away, so shipping should be reasonable!

Im going to work on a design of the frame work over the next few days and get the stuff ordered!

That'd be easy to make.
Grab a welder and get some angle iron..
Die Grinder to help shape it..
I've never used one but just from the pictures doesn't look hard at all

Im sure some of you might of had the joy of seeing a panel saw in use at a home improvement store. I know Ive been wanting one for a few years now. I just cant pay $500 for a used beat up one, its just to much.

Found this while searching today:

They want $500 plus shipping for it, no saw. Im betting I could buy the extruded aluminum and build it myself for half that. I would have to drive up to my old work to do some machining, but still is cheaper than what they are asking.

I could just buy the two rails and make my own carriage and mount it on a wood base also...

Just thought I would post up this option for anyone else who may be interested. If I build one may as well make enough parts for 2 while Im set up.
