Radio 12v red/white + radio harness
Radio Ground black - radio harness
Radio Ignition (GMLAN Serial Data)
Radio Illumination yellow (dimmer) + radio harness
Factory Amp Turn-on same as power antenna wire
Power Antenna white + radio harness
LF Speaker +/- tan - gray +,- radio harness or amplifier
Notes: If equipped, the amplifier is under the rear of the center console.

At the amplifier, the left subwoofer wires are dk. blue/white (+) - lt. green/black (-). The right subwoofer wires are dk. green (+) - lt. blue/black (-).
RF Speaker +/- lt. green - dk. green +,- radio harness or amplifier
LR Speaker +/- brown - yellow +,- radio harness or amplifier
RR Speaker +/- dk. blue - lt. blue +,- radio harness or amplifier

Thanks for checking slick94prix, I kinda gave up on the whole thing. I don't have the wiring colors for the factory amp. So if you post them, it might spark my interest again.

It's most likely controlled via the VSS in the BCM. I've checked my resources, with no luck though. I can give you the audio colors though at the factory amp, which I do assume you have.

i dont know how theyll apply that to portable nav systems for use in car....but in my car you can play ps2, watch a movie with your sweetheart all while the car is in motion......my personal feelings are that nav units should funciotn but i can see peoples concerns over video

There is a Federal mandate going into place on driver distractions and the vehicles accessories... OEM and Aftermarket, and the 15 second rule that Ryan mentioned will be used as a baseline.
GM is just leading the pack in meeting new vehicle standards.

no offense. but i wouldnt risk it trying to change it.
just leave it.

i know the new pioneer avic-d3 unit wont allow you to type in new addresses or phone numbers, but it will allow you to change route from your history, or whatever.

why do you want to change your route while driving anyways?

If its a factory system good luck bypassing it. If there is a way, I dont think anyone here probably knows (as nobody here probably has a 2007 whatever) and/or nobody here would aid in something to impair the safety to others while on the road.

I didn't realize it was illegal since the Mitsubishi nav systems can be used while driving, and if it was illeagal, how does Mitsubishi get away with it? I know this because I sell new Mitsubishi's. Have you actually looked up the law?

I just fig it was just something GM did on it's own.
