where should the eq setting b? i listen to basically all rap

So you are using the J-link cable... If that's the case, then it is either in the quality of the music recorded or the eq settings.

That's actually a bad a$$ lil unit for a dam good price... Heck even at the retail of $719.95 it don't sound bad, but when you account that us dealers don't even come close to that... It's a flat out steal

well I have a jlink that goes right into the back of my dvd player. It's the cord that is specifically made to go for the ipod and dvd player

soon the standard is supposed to be over 200 Kbps at least i believe thats what iTunes will be offering... I could be wrong
