that could be your problem setting 2 diffrent amps with the same settings doesnt mean there gonna produce the exact same sound. u need to make sure that your amps are set properly to the amps not to another amp.

what you're hearing is distortion caused by something such as the gain being set too high or just a cheap amplifier with a poor quality power supply.
It's not the amplifier topography that's causing the audible distortion though.

i can definitely hear the difference. i made sure all the settings were the same on the ab and d amps. im pretty sure its the lower damping factor of class d amps

if you think you can hear a difference, you can win $10,000!

Come on guys ... he's from Alaska ... They're thin on oxygen up there.
I'm just messing around Alaska guy. I love Alaska. I flew up there for a week once when I thought I was going to be moving there. It was awesome. I'd take Alaska over DC any day.

i was messing around with some of my amps and i noticed that i really dont like the way class d amps sound. i ended up disconnecting all my speakers except my subs and listened to it and noticed on songs that i know the bass is 1 simple square wave it sounded like 2 oscillators with one oscillator going in and out of tune with the other. this didnt happen with any of the ab amps i tried it with everything sounded tighter more in control. maybe its just these class d amps im using they are cheap or maybe the eq phase gain or subsonic filter was set wrong every single time i adjusted them or the lower damping factor class d amps have. idk but it annoys me
