Not exactly the recommended choice for most mechanics... But really funny none the less :p

lighter fluid and a match is a great way to get a tire back on the rim ;)

My cousin and I like to buy old junkers and baja them through the woods, usually tires dont last that long under those conditions so we change alot of tires by hand...

Our dealership gives away there used tires, and I've gotten several matching sets that were like new before... They dont sell used tires and it cost them 2 bucks to get rid of them, so they might as well give them away.

I've found a set of 245/70/16 goodyears that were like brand new, snatched them up and sold them to my uncle for 50 bucks.. Worked out good for the both of us, fast foward a year and hes still running those tires... :happy055:

Oh, I can pull 4 tires and wheels off a car, break the tires down, put the new tires on, air them up, and put them back on the car in about 30 minutes..

welp got them put on.. called another local shop, and they only charged me a whopping $20 to do the entire job.. so im happy as hell!.. saved quite a bit of money.. and my truck rides much smoother/quiter, i didnt get them balanced though, their balancer was messed up, so ill have that done soon...

Havent you ever watched Unique Whips when they try to get tires on rims? Man one guy took him like i dunno 2 hrs to get a set of 20's for a Ferarri. Those Lo Pro's are a bitch and a half... I dunno if im even going to go that low for mine when i do the 17's or 18's on my Camry... I dont think i want to deal with that shit

Even some shops I've been to won't touch the really low pro stuff, at least they wouldn't guarantee not ripping the sidewall of the tire. I have 225/35/18's and the shop that put mine on said the machines aren't really designed for the low low stuff and there was a 50/50 chance of a un-guaranteed sidewall tear, but Mine went on ok, fingers crossed. I did the same thing you did ended up $10 a tire old off new on.... good luck

sorry, double....

well i got two of the tires off.. the dish soap worked, and i used a pry bar for the most part.. but i ended up using a circular saw and cutting them off basically.. so being that i took it that far.. F this.. and ill put some full size spares on and take it to a shop and have them do the other 2 rims/tires..

Seems like almost any tire shop would do that for ya, and it would sure beat trying to do it yourself. Plus worrying about damaging the wheel!!!
