Nice, I have not heard of the muffler bearing! I will have to put that one to use.

by whiteboy » Mon Mar 26, 2007 11:14 am

haha we were just talkin about that yesterday.

my 16 year old brother thinks he knows everything, and tot he point of arguing with me so much i wanted to hit him with a wrench.

so him and his friend were over talking shit while i was workign ont he truck, i told him i couldnt finish fixing it until he went and bought some turn signal fluid and a new muffler bearing.

Definately don't believe everything you see on the net... that is unless you wanna buy some headlight fluid :p lol

by whiteboy » Fri Mar 23, 2007 2:44 am

wow thanks...

my parents told me not to believe everything i see on tv when i was little, maybe they should have told me that about the internet too

Actually the mounting depth is 8.9" and the mounting diameter on those is 16.7" ;)
Thought I'd throw that in real quick before Bill makes up a design and then you start cutting later on down the road and your subs fall through the holes.

by whiteboy » Thu Mar 22, 2007 6:52 pm

the website says

8.4" mounting depth
18.7" mounting diameter

is that what you need?

by whiteboy » Thu Mar 22, 2007 6:46 pm

they are ma audio 180xl

im not sure on all the dimensions ill have to go check

by Bwcad1 » Thu Mar 22, 2007 6:43 pm

ill draw something up what subs do you have? i need mounting depth and the overall outer dia. ill design a BWS box. instead of the factory specs they all suck

i woud love to have you help if we lived closer, but not only do i like getting my hands dirty and learning stuff as i go along, i also think shipping would kill me.

i have all the tools to do it, ive just never built something that is so complicated, i normally make little single ported boxes for like an 8 inch sub.

im gonna use broach cutters (look like a drill bit with a round sw aroudn ti and cuts a perfect circle) to cut out the port holes.

and i have a um, wut the hell is that thing called, the saw that the blade looks like a drill bit and u trace the line.

then both a circular saw and a table saw to cut the squares

thats not unnecessarily true Ryan it only need to be 4 inches from the opening. ill draw something up tomorrow if i get a min. also if you want i can just build it.
