personally I prefer to have a system that sounds good, and accurate instead of just deafening.
However, if you're after a loud system to out-do your friends, attract attention, piss off the neighbors, and send up a signal to car thieves, here's my suggestion:
Keep the type-R subs, and put them in a bandpass enclosure, custom built by a professional, and feed each one about 800 watts RMS.
That combined with sound treating your vehicle, should improve output with the best bang for the buck.
Bigger isn't always better, and you don't always have to replace everything you own to get better results.
Do keep in mind though, that the music you amplify with your amps is energy, and the more energy you use to hear the music outside the car, the less energy translates to the volume inside the car.
The more you can keep the audio in the car, the louder it'll be.
Also, the type X is a high excursion SQ sub, and Xmax isn't a direct correlation to peak output. The sub isn't made for SPL, and won't end up being as loud as the type R, due to it's lower sensitivity.
