i had this same problem in my chrysler concorde, also another question just incase is the box almost wedged in beneath the back cash and floor? i had a box that barely wedged in my truck and literally created a barreer from the rear dash and rear seat. No air in no air out. If not the 6 by 9s comming out does help alot once i got my box to fit right and took those out worlds of difference, i think it helped with my back dash rattling too

Well the Buicks dont expose the speaker, they are behind a grill thats mounted to the rear package tray permanently.

So just take the rear seat out, rear back, pull the plastic, pull the deck. Remove and toss stock speakers, replace parts. Done...

No need to do anything else. The bass will improve many times over.

i would just take the 6x9 out and just keep the hole, if you are insecure about how it looks, you could take the dash out and then use speaker cloth to cover the holes that match the interior... Simple and aesthetically pleasing to the eye

also i would like to add a question....can anyone tell me what the proper box size and port length and stuff would be best for my kicker cvr....ithe port right now looks gigantic its like almost 2 feet long and 3" by 18"

takin the 6x9's out would be a good idea. especially since they dont work for some reason in the first place....and how would i make ports...cut my back dash? have ports going from back deck to down inside the trunk right?

I did a 97 Century a few years back.

Pull the rear deck out and toss the 6x9's and the problem is solved...

Your car probably has a back deck that extends from the top of the back seat to the window line. That right there is the easiest way to get bass into the cabin. If there are speakers on the deck, i would remove them. The holes where the speakers were will act as ports and sound will come through the opening. Another thing you could do is use external round ports and have them go up to the opening on the back deck.

i drive a 99' buick century....im running a pioneer deh-p5800,a memphis mclass 500d and a 15" kicker cvr in a ported box....it gets loud on some songs but others it dont at all....it sounds like alot of the bass is being lost in the trunk and the trunk sounds like its going to blow straight off,my seats don't fold down or anything and the back of the seat has a plastic with foam covering the whole back seat.......does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to port the trunk or somehow make it louder because it came outta my brothers blazer and i know the system is capable of being pretty loud....any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated....
