that was my plan.

As stated with regard to cancelation... the only real cure would be to convert it to a bandpass... then they are technically firing away from one another, but I would recommend a devider between the 2 in the front rather than the shared air space.

so i need to isolate each speakers waves from the other.

by Bwcad1 » Thu Feb 08, 2007 7:12 am

i told you exactly how to do it.

the speakers are firing into each others waves the 0 equal speakers the x equal there waves.

also they arent really facing eachother the angles arent as extreme on the box as they are in the drawing

i have enough space i have a chevy g20 conversion van and have 6 12s in it now. i didnt know that about the wal mart meters. i thought that was what they were using at this little contest they had in townbut i guess i was wrong they looked about the same. how would they cancel each other out i thought speakers only did that when they were out of phase. im pretty determined to make use of this box so ill figure something out and post pictures when im done.

u do realize how big they are right? and they dont really preform any better than a standard ported box. the walmart meters don't go over 135 and are grosly inaccurate.

by OnYrMrk » Thu Feb 08, 2007 6:59 am

the only draw back that you would have with that box, as Cargodz mentioned, is cancellation. The two subs nearly facing each other could have a tendency of cancelling out the other subs output.

i just looked up that box the wicked one and i think i could build something very similar withthis box as a starting point

i think so. its been a while he had it in a malibu station wagon if i remember correctly. it would set of car alarms while he drove through parking lots. but now hes all about cerwin vegas. the meter he used was from wal mart. i cant believe they sell those at wal mart now
