I still get pretty bad dimming, so I'm going to throw a Deka Intimidator in the back for the sub amp.

unfortunatly without a mod ur case cant get any bigger which means less at idle ive clamped mine at 150amps at idle. u should be ok as long as your not drawing tons of current for huge amounts of time

200a for a 2000 Altima, was as big as he could go. Not worth a crap at idle, but ok once you're moving. Car is a DD with around 2200watts total.

VERY interesting, thanks for sharing that. I run an EA alt and did the BIG 3 in 1/0 about 3-4 months ago, with no problems so far, but now you have me wondering/worrying. :surprised

Well we agree on caps, but I'm curious as to why you say the BIG 3 in 1/0 is bad for your alt?? Please explain as I've never heard anyone say that before, but I'm always willing to listen....

My .02

Do the BIG 3 in 1/0, won't cost much more and it's all you'll ever need for future upgrades. Look into the KLM wire or call a few local welding supply shops for 2/0 welding wire as it's a little smaller AWG than audio wire. You probably only need 8-10'.

Do some research on caps, it just might save you some $$$. They're not very popular on most forums....
