Ah man, when I was younger I put 20-50% of my check away in another account. Never looked at it..3 years later had something like 12k in it I was freakin 18!! rediculous to me. I couldn't believe I had that much then when I finally looked at it I blew every last penny. I can't tell you what I bought but I spent it on a few stupid things. I know 6k went into a house I was renting and I got screwed but the other 6k ..I dunno. Now I am living check to check praying I can make my bills. I try and find a few things to buy myself so I don't go insane but regret buying them in the end.

money that is! sometimes i wish i could do the irrisponsible thing and go blow all my cash (except the college money) on mostly useless stuff that i don't really need all that bad.. can't i just start saving money in my 40's like my parents?! :words

although i must say, actually holding cash in my hands makes it harder for me to spend money... if i can see it decrease its a lot easier to stop spending than to swipe a card and check my bank balance tommorow morning..
