Looks like the R/T boxes for 10"s are either 6.5" or 7.5" deep... I'm going to assume you have the 7.5" since you have a quad cab larger area and most don't carry the 6.5" version.

So with that said you're gonna be looking for a sub(s) that will perform well in a small enclosure with less than 7" mounting depth optimum

Now I'm gonna throw you a couple more options:
Massive Audio RW10 5.5" mounting depth optimum sealed .75 cu.ft. 400wrms handling
Cerwin Vega HED10.4 mounting depth 5.62" optimum sealed .75- 1.0 cu. ft. 250-300wrms handling
Just food for thought :)

the pioneers need an assload of power to sound good is the only drawback......

pioneer premier makes a decent shallow mount sub. I heard two 12's in a sealed box, didnt sound too bad, plus i think the cone looks cool and yet different because it is completely flat.

Kicker Amp

I don't have pics or dimensions. They are RT Subwoofer Boxes 10in. I assume that they are your standard truck wedge box. Cartoys sales rep sayed that W1's were the deepest speaker that would fit. I'm just looking to see if there are any other brands that could compare.

yeah.. at best.. i have a friend that has a pair.. they are typical entry level JL, which is good, but nothing spectacular.. your basic W0 with a couple other parts..

by Darthness » Tue Jan 09, 2007 8:07 pm

W1's are decent subs.

do you have a pic of that box? or dimensions.

the W3 isnt much bigger.. the W1 is 110mm and the W3 is 146mm..

but again, which box is it? is it a JL box?

any of them?

by brewski » Tue Jan 09, 2007 7:32 pm

Are the W3's shallow enough to fit in the truck wedge boxes I have? The W1's were the only ones that looked shallow enough.

if you want to keep it all JL, go with the W3's.. they handle 300rms each and that amp will give them their rated rms and slam.. W3's sound great in sealed boxes.. and they will perform great on that amp..
