Well hit up Ryan anyway... if nothing else, you could get him to do the box design (maybe even templates) and you or somebody else there build it.

Definately... If you want loud= vented/ported, If you want range but not as loud= sealed.... We have a few box builders here on the board if you don't feel up to the task of building and tuning... Talk to Ryan from Ohio (one of the admins), he does an awesome job at really good prices :thumbsup

1 Cause its a prefab (one size fits all box)

Each sub is diffrent, so it requires a diffrent box (diffrent specs). Prefabs aren't designed to those specs, so the subs suffer.

2 Its a bandpass.

Bandpass boxes suffer in many areas. They play really loud in a certain range, and then drop WAY off one they get outside of that range. Thats why they can seam so boomy. There are exceptions, but they take alot of time to design and build.

why would the subs be suffering in my bandpass box?

by cargodz » Sat Dec 30, 2006 12:54 pm

Your subs are definately suffering in that prefab bandpass box... at the very least look into buying a ported (vented) box for them... although building one or having one built specifically for your subs would be even better yet.
