lol, girls like em bigger, I guess that's all I gotta say... but all that aside, two 12" Type-R's new or old, will get loud. And You can grab them at decent prices also.

I would upgrade the Subs to 12"s you WILL get louder.

"The Big 3" 1) Motor to Chassis Ground, 2) Alternator to Battery Positive, 3) Battery Negative to Chassis Ground... Side Note: make sure ALL grounds are good metal to metal (remove paint). A Good 4ga. wire in the shortest runs possible the preffered wiring.
Your vehicle uses at least a stock 105amp alternator... good for now, but you will probably have some light dimming. You may want to look into a slightly larger alt down the road... something in the 160-200amp range.

i live with someone that has 2 w3v3s on that amp in the proper box. I have also heard the 2 type Rs right up next to it. I think the w3 is a little cleaner but the alpines are great for the price if you build or have built a good box. They should sound great. And have you looked at wooferetc.com? im not positive but you might get a slightly better price on your subs. Type Rs for the Price. leave the w3 to the JL addicts.

ok so with this alpine setup ill be pushin 350W a sub. now ive been comparing this with a setup from JL around the same pricing with: JL Audio 500-1 amp running 2 JL Audio 10W3v3-4. (with this jl setup ill only be running 300W a sub i think) in your guys opinion which setup would u take for listening to hip hop in a 05 chevy colorado ext cab.
