Its taken awhile to get used to the tft type display over the normal screen Ive been sued to forever.
My biggest issue with it is about the widescreen. It stretches/distorts things. THis is very aggitating when you do CAD work. Your circles are not circles.
Is there a way to disable the wide screen option?
Or am I screwed with this monitor?
Im highly considering ditching it for a normal aspect monitor.
It sounds to me like your video card simply doesn't support the aspect ratio of that monitor.
My laptop is also a widescreen format - but inherently of course (since everything is built in) the laptop supports the wider format...
By that I mean on this laptop I'm not running a 1280x1024 resolution, but rather I'm currently running a 1280x800, and having the option of running 1280x768, 1280x720, and 1280x600 - not to mention a few options at the 1024 level if I needed reading glasses. ] without upgrading or updating the software [or settings].
