I cant afford to take over payments while im at school... its just not feasable with payments around 360 a month

My parents don't agree with any of the work I do either. It just goes back to the "If they're not interested in the hobby, they can't see justfying the work/money" stereotype.
The only answer there is independance. Save up and buy your own car. Or completely take over payments on that one.

yeah my dad was more upset that i had spent the money... i've been very slowly and sneakily trying to get him to do something with his focus though.

They all just think its Crap... For him when he was a Kid it was Swapping out engines and putting bigger ones in and shit like that... for us its putting bigger speakers in... both of us have something in common, we all are enhansing our cars

Im 20 and my dad still controls me... he kicked my ass outta the house once for getting a speeding ticket... And another time cause i didnt turn my system down when i pulled into my house driveway... But its not that he is an asshole he just "HATES" bass... I dont know what to do really.. but we are both paying for this car so i cant just be like well im going to put it in anyway

yeah... my dad was like that... he was fine aftter i installed my first system though. specially since i'm 18 now and the title is in my name and i'm paying for the truck, theres not a whole lot he can do about it. and as long as i'm in college, i'm highly doubting that he's going to kick me out over a stereo :>

although, some of the words he used when i bought my JL setup weren't exactly kind.. infact, even i wouldn't repeat them.

i have an 8 gauge kit actually... but yea thats not the problem im tellin u guys my Dad is a major ass about this kinda stuff... He just gets in my truck and, looks at me and says, "You know Jay, you really Bastardized this vehicle... im not going to let you do that to the new car!"

i have an alpine 4 channel amp that can be bridged to 100x2.. $50... theres a thread in the forsale section. If i have it, i'll throw in some wiring for it for another $10.. assuming i have enoguh for an 8gauge kit. i sohuld.

edit: sale of that amp is pending.. if toomanyamps sent the money order, than its sold...
