If you are gonna go with a Type-R, pm scar3ll, and ask for his box design. He has a Type-r also and gets nice-n-loud

The type r will be better in the spl department.

Would i be better off getting a 12" type R? I can get a brand new Type R locally also for about 110 bucks. I'm basically just looking for a good overall sub with both SQ and SPL.

Thats more of an SQ woof...

Will still get decently loud.

A $400 sub for a 100 bucks....thats ether a great deal or that sub is problem prone. Never heard one tho, but by the looks of it that MB sub will own that type S

Hi guys, I'm looking at the MB Quart 15" subwoofer for sale here at woofersetc for about 110 shipped

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fus ... ct_ID=3416

I currently have a single 12" Alpine type S right now and was wondering if this sub would be a significant improvement. I'm satisfied with the Alpine type S right now but I'm looking for something that will hit stronger but with equal if not better SQL. Was thinking about getting a 12" Type R but saw this sub for sale and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on it since it seems so cheap. If it helps, I'm using an Old Rockford Fosgate Punch 225.2 amp that does a little over 600 RMS bridged at 4 ohms.

Thanks Guys
