And something I really need to add to this is that Circuit City is not exactly a dedicated audio business, you would have much better luck if you have a local audio shop take a look at it. Now I'm not saying that every person at the large chain store is not skilled, but you are taking more chances that they are not.
A set of kicks would probably be your best bet with a decent set of 6.5 coax or better yet components.

that's why I said use the Qform kickpods, not the factory locations.
it moves the speakers down by your ankles and angles them properly so you can house larger separates than those 4x6 plates.

I have looked at Kicker 6 1/2 speaker (055KS60) and some others, but they all say they won't fit. I'm not skilled enough to install myself so I will have to have them installed. I going to go back tomorrow to Circuit City and see what they have to say and what they can do. If they can would those Kicker 6 1/2 I mentioned help equal out the sound production with the Kicker 6x9's? Also, got any advice for me about seeing what Circuit City can do? Thanks for all the help.

Yeah I agree whole heartedly with everybody else... I know you think you did right by buying new 4x6"s and you don't really want to feel like you bought them for nothing, but the truth is that you will never get the quality of sound you're looking for out of them.

you'd do much better with a 4 channel amp to handle all 4 speakers, and then once you have good clean power to all of them, use the fader to adjust F/R balance to where you like it.
you'll get much better response overall this way.

If you want a strong front stage though, you need to epart with the 4x6s and put 6.5" separates in front in kickpods, like the ones offered by Qform.
Then you'll have a fuller more robust front stage with adequate power from the amp.

Would it be possible to get amp for the 4x6's in the front that would equal out the sound between the kickers in the back and the polks in the front? And if so, what amp would you recommend.

Thanks

Amp

its a piece of cake to put a set of 6.5 components in the front doors of those cars too......id do a comp set up front with an amp on them and run the 6x9's off the head unit for starters and then definitely look at upgrading the head unit

even great speakers are going to sound bad with a dirty signal from a subpar headunit

That and, get a new cd player. Factory players suck, especially if you try to get any volume out of them. Put in an after market deck, and you will notice a diffrence.

In fact, I sugest a deck to people before I sugest they upgrade their speakers. Sure the speakers will help, but the over all diffrence will be greater with a new deck. Even with factory speakers.
