I was referring to their industrial electronics more so than the Blaupunkt head units, the raw parts. Mainly things like relays, electric drives, automation technology, stuff that you'd see in industrial equipment. Automotive stuff isn't something to scream about either.

ya know i used to love kenwood head units and the last one i got was too much frills and not enough quality........now im kinda pondering what to do...i only got it to replace a 9 year old sony setup i had that still workd flawlessly, it just does it in my girlfriends car now because she wanted a changer and i think they are a pain in the ass....still that sony was sweet. and before anyone dumps on it it was way before the explod crap came out......

i've had more than one blau head unit and never had a problem...on that same note,i've had trouble with EVERY alpine or kenwood i have owned...Damon

Mediocre electronics at best. I've seen tons of it fail in the past in industry and on certain applications around the house. European electronics (especially German) are behind anyway, but their mechanical build quality is excellent. Just don't buy German industrial equipment, electrical engineering is HORRIBLE.
