Can you say post office. good pay, laid back job.

The pizza delivery gig is pretty decent while I am in college. Actually, being a tipped worker they only have to pay me about $4.15/hr. I will check the government stuff someday. I actually get 10 point preference because I have a service connected disability.

I get a new raise every March when our new fiscal year comes out. I have been working for nearly 7 years for this company, and March of 07 I will have nearly doubled my starting salary due to raises. BTW, what did you do for the military?

You can always look into the Department of Defense, or the Federal Aviation Administration. They both take into account a 5 point preference. That means that you were honorably discharged, you get first shot at the job rather than someone off the street.

check out this website: FAA Jobs

You might find what you are looking for there. Hope things get better for you in the future! And congrats on the job.

Being in college you should be able to find a job in your field.

Minimum wage in Michigan is about hit over $7/hr. Your pay sucks.

Actually, I work in Bellevue which is worse than Clyde. I should just transfer to Clyde, but wont be working for the pizza place much longer. To be honest I only kept the job so I can ask off whenever I feel like.

I know the town this guy lives in as I used to live there when I was young. Actually my one grandma lives there is some trailer park behind an RV/Camper sales place...

This town is out in the middle of nowhere. There is some industry there, but as to be expected they dont pay to much, as they are in the middle of no where.

Your best bet is to get in Gerstenslager or Whirlpool. WP makes more, Gersten only makes like $12-14/hr I hear. Get a job in Sandusky... or move...

Clyde Ohio is just a crap town filled with more gangstas than any other joke town in Ohio...

:sm29:

If you were a Machinist I could have you a job tomorrow making $15/hr...

I will give you a common tip in the town I work. Say the amount is $19.45 they will hand me a $20.00 and tell me to keep the change. I made 15 deliveries, and drove over 80 miles, one day and got a total of $3.25 in tips, actually was the last 2 deliveries of the day that people actually tipped me.

Before, I got out of the Army I was making around $18.33 all together. Best part is I didn't work, I had a serious back and knee injury for my last 8 months in the Army, free healthcare was great might not have worked but was in physical therapy for about 7.5 months which I am sure is not cheap to pay for myself, along with MRI's and having a Orthopedic specialist as my doctor.
