Save up your money a little bit rather than wishing you had later.
I've seen way to many Legacy's break down.

Those are 15" Comp VR's right? and as swimmerdude says dual 4ohm.
So you are going to need something to push close to 400-500wrms x 2 or 800-1000wrms x 1 at either 2 or 1 ohm (pending configuration).

I mentioned Xsite before, great bang for the buck. Look at something like the XA1800 1ch. A/B 800wrms @ 2ohms

Hey Chris, the Kickers are Dual 4ohm. I dont know how many times i have told you that....

But I would save up money for a better amp.... just like when i told you that you shouldnt of bought that sony.....

wow those boxes look sooo pretty lol... Hehehe jk jk arent those the boxes that u can pretty much bend the plexiglass window on them with your finger?

FYI, you can wire 2 dual 2 ohm subs for a 1 ohm final load. You will need something that does XXXX RMS at 2 or 4 ohm.

im kinda in a similar predicament, i have currently one 15'' kicker cvr, soon to be two and am looking for a cheap amp that will provide enough power that will cost under 300, probably wired to 1 ohm as they are dual 2 ohm subs, so if you come across something that will give em enough bang for the buck at [email protected],
Image- buyin em off of a friend w/o the amp which is already sold, tryin to decide to buy a legacy (200rms x2 @2 ohm) for 45, or just save my money on a new amp

thanks, Chris

wow. nice subs in a totally crappy 4th order box on a totally crappy underpowered amplifier.

start over, sir :)

I agree with everyone else... ditch the box... it may look pretty, but looks don't mean squat when it comes to sound.
So it is definately a combination of not enough power (amp) and the wrong enclosure (box)... Save up a lil for a new amp to push them and if you have the tools and abilty, make a new box... if not, your other choices are to just go get a vented prefab box with more space or have someone make it for you... we've got a couple people right here like Ryan that can make you a killer enclosure.

Yeah, thats totally your problem. Those 15's can take more power than you are giving them, but in a decent (even prefab) box with 100 watts or so a 15 they would sound better than 500 a piece in that box. Not to lay it down hard or anything, but definately, you are not doing those subs any justice. In a proper box, with a good bit of power those subs will get plenty loud and have pretty decent SQ.

by JeremyC » Tue Oct 03, 2006 5:40 pm

yeah i second that. That box probably sounds like wattered down poop.

ugh get a new box
