Best suggestion is to put good 6.5" components in the kicks and use your 2100 to power, since you already have it.

Would i need a special bracket to convert my 6x8's into 6.5?
Yea, you can either buy some, or make some yourself out of wood. The ones you buy are around $15 with shipping (a pair), but they are plastic and not as thick as wood would be.

better off stuffing a 5.25" or 6.5" in back, and using kickpods in front, such as offered by Qforms

The ford taurus was one of those cars made that really never had car audio in mind when it was designed... Just look at what you have to go through to put a decent head unit in it.
Get some adapters or buy/ make pods.
