yeah, i didnt think they made that either(4ga to 4ga).

kiki, that's what i was thinking of doing. i've already got a 4ga kit installed that's running my amp; i drilled throught the firewall, ran under the carpet, etc. (really dont want to do it again with 1/0 ga if possible). so i can mount the block right next to the amp.

i want to add a power inverter and run 8ga to that, probably 2' of wire. will 8ga be enough for a 400watt power inverter? it has a 40 amp fuse. i was also looking at an 800 watt inverter (has two 35 amp fuses). will 8ga be ok for that also, or should i get a dist block w/ 1/0ga inputs and 4 ga outputs, run the 4ga into the input (will it fit?) and then use 4ga from the block to the amp and inverter?
thanks.

i also already have 4ga ground installed for the amp. i can keep that even if i use 8ga for the power input, right?

just use a 4ga amp wiring kit.
keep a distribution block close to the amp(s) and split to 8ga for block to amp and amp to ground, and keep both as short as possible.

I dont think they make what your looking for....

thanks ya'll.
the gauge calculator tool on bcae1.com says i need at least 6ga, but i was wondering if it was ok to use 8ga since it only be 6 to 12" long. or should i keep looking for a disribution block with 4ga in and 4ga out?

see FAQ section.
it's covered there.

It all depends on amperage required and lengths.

If ya got 4 ga running to the distro block 8 ga should be fine for that 12" run.

will it be ok to use about 6" to 12" of 8ga from a distribution block with 4 ga input to my amp that puts out 460w RMS at 100%?

i've got 4 ga run to the back of my 4runner and i want to add a power inverter. i was planning on getting a distribution block with 4ga inputs and 4ga outputs, but i cant seem to find one. will one w/ 1/0ga inputs and 4 ga outputs work? will 4ga fit in the 1/0ga input? thanks in advance.
