This is his daily driver... He just wanted something that would sound decent in it... The system is his now, I sold it to him so I can buy something else...

He has a 1st gen jimmy, he wants to try to compete in db drag with that...

But yeah, my truck has been out of comission for the last week or so, so he's been kind enough to loan me one of his trucks until I get mine back on the road (should be friday)... It's kinda nice, he has three cars, a 97 dakota, a 97 blazer (the one we did the install in) and a 94 jimmy..

Right now Im in the jimmy... My blazer OWNS this thing in gas milage.. Its gets around 15 on the highway, mine gets 23ish.... Cant wait to get it back on the road...

I want to run something fairly simple in the blazer, a sq'ish system...

Here shortly I should be able to pick up a crx or something up that nature... and then its on!!!!!!!!!!!!! :happy055:

EDIT: We still plan on building another box for these subs, just a straight spl enclosure, probably only use it once or twice though, just wanna do that 140db...

Just got done installing my cousins new system. It's basically my old system that I sold to him. We started around 4am last night and got down around 1:30ishpm today... We had some scrap mdf so we dug through it and found all the useable pieces, then went to wal-mart to get some supplies we were out of (screws and liquid nails)....

First installed a new headunit. I dont remember the model number, just some old kenwood I had sitting around, not very fond of kenwood by it was free...

Secondly we built a new sub enclosure. This time he wanted to go sealed, so we designed and built a new box with about 1.4 cuft per sub.

Then we installed a kicker k65.2 component set in the stock locations (97 blazer - mids in doors, tweeter in the dash... Ran all new speaker wire to the speakers.

built 2 amp racks, one per side, one holding a jbl 600.1 and one holding a kicker kx250.2.. Got everything carpet and looking pretty good.. Still have to build 2 little panels to help hide everything a little better, but that be a quick and easy job...

It turned out better than I expected for what we had... Didnt plan it at all, just a spare of the moment thing, it was late and we were both pretty bored so we figured wtf....

We didnt really tune it yet, we did turn it on just to make sure everything was working... At that time I messed with it for about 2 mintues, setting everything real quick by ear just get semi close... Didnt sound to bad, he was pretty happy with it... But staying up ALL night working on it we were both pretty beat so we are going to fine to it tommorrow...

So I'll see if I cant get some pics of it before I go to work tomorrow, hopefully we can finish tuning it... I think its going to sound pretty good for what it is... :)
