Do you know that in Wa. in 3 more weeks, the state is going to make playing poker online a felony?
Pretty sad, when a year ago they couldn't stiffen up drunk driving laws because they were affraid of prison over crowding, but had no problem passing a law like this?
Even tho, I don't play poker at all, what I don't like is. This means they could force ISPs to give them your details of what sites you've been too. So they could also know any purchases you make on-line out of state.
I bet that is the real intent of this law, is to find out how much sales tax they are owed.
Sometimes I just hate this state, it seems like every law that gets passed is revenue generating one.

I used to play "Quarters" for money. Ever flipped a quarter for an $1800 pot?

I did and won. The object is to ante whatever you agree on. BTW, this works much better with 4 or more people. Once the ante is in, everyone flips a quarter. Odd man wins the pot. So in our scenario, 3 flip "heads" and 1 flips "tails", the one with tails wins the pot.

We had 10 people with $20 ante playing. We went 8 rounds without a winner, so I put in my final $20 and I was the odd man out. Won $1800 in about 5 min. Ahhhh...those were the days.

yeah, down here we have one of the circuit tournaments for the world series of poker. $200 buy-in, you can win like $300,000 and get a free seat in the main event. so you could turn $200 into like $20 million

Nope. Not yet. I'd like to take a trip to Atlantic City and give it a try. At least a bigger more real one than the little local ones.

I think what might be more important than reading others, is making sure you can't be read. Or at least, you're read the way you want to be read. If you know what I mean.

haha, i can't wait until i get to actually try and read people at a casino

I must be doing something right. I do much better in person than I do online. I get bored online and don't play a very solid game. In person you can watch the other players and what not and it makes for a much better game. I like to make random facial expressions just to mess with people who like to look for reads. I don't know, I just have a good time messing with people I guess.
