nah, just use one of your bedrooms for a woodworking shop. it would have to be the master though so you could rip a full sheet of mdf.

man i wish i could get have equiment like that. we moved into a mobile home so we don't have a hole lot of space to work with. i could get one it'd just be a pain to store it. it'd have to fold up or something.

hell yeah, we have a really old delta drill press that needs some minor work to repair it. but like i said you can still get parts for the majority of that old stuff.

i have a drill press from 1930 something or other and that damn thing still runs great. it just wont die.

Yup!! I love it, my grandfather bought it about 15 years ago for a good deal, he and some others(not me!!) have treated it like shit, and it still cuts as true as the day he bought it. Of course it was still being serviced by a Delta dude when he bought it. But yeah its almost 70 years old and works great!!! I couldn't find a picture of an actual 1940s and earlier one, I'll see if I can find one...

EDIT: But ALL of todays saws, that look similar to that delta above, are basically the same design as the one I have. I guess they did it right the first time. Anybody runs across a good deal on an old saw like this, no matter WHAT SHAPE IT IS IN, buy it. Delta will still service them.

I have a 1939 Rockwell Unisaw with a biesermeyer fence setup, something like this, except the older version that is way more heavy duty w/ 5hp motor :)

I think the fence will go a little past 5 ft or so

As far as the circular saw goes, milwaukee is a damn good saw as well, it all comes down to brand preference. Porter Cable, Makita, Milwaukee, any of those is top of the line. I don't put dewault up there cause i don't think they are as good, but probably as durable

i have a 200 Milwaukee circ saw and a tradesman table saw. both work damn good. that milwaukee has a 3hp motor it will chew through mdf like nothing.
