ok... so a hifonics bx1000d (last years model) would be good.... instead of overpowering the subs with this years model, the bxi1206d.

hifonics class D sub amps. cheap. pretty reliable. rated power output.
they'll do what ya want for $300 or less.

ok... im not gonna settle for just a decent amp now but my big question now would be would a new amp with 600rms to each of my 500 rms subs be okay??

I really love the kicker amps and if you check out that sellers store he has a butt load of refurb kicker amps at good prices I'm sure you could find one that fits the bill.

Well.... i would kinda say im over doubling power because right now i have them on a Legacy 1600w...
i think he was trying to say that when he gets one of those amps he will be doubling the power

Actually, you'd be lucky to get 800w RMS out of that amp. Is it even 1ohm stable? The reason you want a decent to good quality amp is that build quality will make the difference in your amp lasting you 5+ years or 5-10 months. I'd highly suggest that kicker amp. I'm a big fan of kicker amps, especially for the price. Also, I really like the new model Hifonics amps. Nice, beefy power supply on those amps for the price. Either amp would be a great choice.

Keep in mind. Doubling your power will only net you a 3db increase. If you want to get louder, i would suggest going ported.

trust me I know I actually run my two MTX 7500's off of a kx600.1 and they straight pound.

Thats 1200rms into a 1ohm load.... which is what i would wire my speakers to (dual 4ohm). That would be 600 rms to each of my Comp vrs. Wouldnt that hurt the subs.... this is going into a daily driver and i like to play it pretty loud.... its a relaxing feeling :D
