I put a kicker CTF box in the back of a friend's 84 firebird back in the 80s, and that thing on a coustic amp sounded really good back then :)
two horns, two 8", and two 10" radiators. hit pretty hard for a prefab setup.

I can't remember what kind of EQ/amplifier all in one combo I was using for the triaxes. At the time I thought I was hot shizzle, though.

It's kind of like driving a beater car/truck though. It can be just as fun to drive as the most upscale vehicles out there just because you can laugh about how pathetic it is. I remember riding in a friend's Pinto with one of those woofer/horn tweeter combo boxes like you get at Walmart, he had that stuffed in between the seats :D He loved that thing.

understand this was 1982...and that was the shit back then, and that technology back in 82 was state of the art, but wayyyyy outdated now.
ah memories....the good old days of eq boosters and 8-track decks. I had a targa unit that looked kind of like that in a chrysler cordoba. It didn'd do much for the sound quality but it sure looked cool with the flashing lights. Most folks back then...including me didn't even know what a amp was.

Yeah I wasn't attacking you, someone on ecoustic asked, and I figured I would head it off here.
x2, you wont find any bad mouthing on this board, this place will only be here for helping who ever needs help. No one was trying to insult you. Only help, don't take it the wrong way. A simple sorry will take it all away. And make sure you still post, and ask what you want to know. Were all grown men, and can handle things, and get over them. If you really are looking for help, we will all be glad to help anytime
