I'm not sure I can recommend either. There has always been reliability issues with Kenwood, but now most recently, Alpine has a lot of dissatisfied customers this model year.

Out of those 2 choices i would take the Alpine. I have never been a big fan of Kenwood car audio.

Kenwood XXV-02A or Alpine MRV-F345?

Looking to get a new amp and have narrowed it down to a Kenwood XXV-02A (£200) or an Alpine MRV-F345 (£187). I'm gonna be powering some Alpine Type-R front components and either a single sub or a pair of rear speakers (haven't decided yet). Someone on another forum recommended the Alpine but someone else said the Kenwood had some excellent features.

I guess I'm slightly edging towards the Kenwood, simply because of the great price (retail is £450) and also because I already have a XXV-01D head unit and the compatible amp can be controlled via the head unit, but I'm still open to more suggestions before I fork out my cash. Any recommendations?
