reminder, if you are using the front RCAs to power both front and rear channels of the amp, you will not have fader control. just a fyi.

the RCAs on your hu has a rear/sub(non-fading) switchable output. use it for your sub, so you can control it from your seat.

Just run both sets of rca's to the back of the car, or what have you.. hook up the sub out set to the sub amp. Hook up the Speaker out to a set of y-spliters, thus giving you 4 rca inputs.

Viola inputs to your sub amp and your speaker amp with only two preamps.

the input your talking about is for external devices such as a dvd player, video system, mp3 player, etc. You can hook up to this aux in, thus giving you sound from that dvd player, etc through your car speakers.

on your hu you should have front, rear and subout.......if you dont you may be able to run the 4 channel amp of the front inputs depending on the amp.....also if you have a 2 channel amp that you are going to bridge this will usually only handle 4 ohms so make sure that your sub setup will be 4 ohms when you put both subs on there....

I would run a y-splitter to the 4 channel, and run the other RCA for the sub output to the sub amp. You should be able to control the sub separate from the speakers, as long as its a dedicated sub out on the HU.

Alright guys, i have 2 amps, a 2 channel bridged mono to power my subs, and a 4 channel to power my four speakers.

My head unit is a Alpine CDE-9845 and it says in the specs, 2 PRE-AMP OUTPUTS with Sub level control. It also says it has AUX-IMPUT.

I have to run 3 RCAs i think, 2 for the 4 channel amp, because im using all 4 channels and 1 for the other amp. How do i do this, do i need to buy those Y connectors or what?

Also, if i dont that, what happens when i turn the subwoofer level control up, isnt it going to turn up the bass on my speakers, not only my subs?

Thanks alot guys. Hope to get some help.
