If it's in good working condition, it should be fine. Those JBL amps were built to last, if your on ebay, you just have to make sure you check the rep of the person and what not. Ask for a few more pics to check for any cosmetic damages. I started out buying nothing but used, and nothing has failed on me yet.

I cannot seem to find the amps you saw. I think I may have seen them earlier today, but if I remember correctly they were used. Is buying a used amp a bad idea?

The first two, are the ones I posted about JBLbp1200.1 and are 1 ohm stable, and they are under 300.

No, doesn't look to be 1 ohm stable.

I am having trouble finding this amp under $300. Is that another amp you would recommend?

What is the RMS on those subs?

by High Society » Sat Dec 03, 2005 11:51 pm

JBL bp1200.1 will work for ya 1 ohm stable. Don't push it hard with that one tho. I dunno if you have read around here, but no one is a big fan with those subs. Bad build quaitly. I would say get rid of it, and look for something else. Unless you like the L7's I'd say the JBL would work great for you with that budget.

I am looking for a new amp for my 12" Kicker L7. I am planning on getting another L7 in a couple of months, but I need an amp. They are both 4 ohms. I need an amp that would be able to power two L7's, but would also work with one L7 for a couple of months. I would like to spend under $300 (looking on Ebay). Thanks
