lol, I'm sticking with the second skin. For one, it's good stuff, and second, it's supporting someone from the forum. Maybe somthing out there is a bit better or cheaper, but Sinister has been helpful to me so I'd rather spend a little more and help him out at the same time and then down the road maybe he'll help me out again. Thanks Sinister.

yeah i hope i didnt stear anyone away from your second skin..i have been researching more and it seems like a top notch product..also good if you are doing the car one section a week or something like that ..nothing beats the peace of mind of having the best..

personally sticking with rammaat but if i had the cash to spend i would go w/ second skin hands down

by sinister audio » Tue Oct 04, 2005 10:22 am

ya the raammat is a great price/quality product but when you want the best you pay for it but if you want crap you get dynamat (jk)

by Jaydee23 » Tue Oct 04, 2005 10:14 am

that is great info!!..looks like raammat is the way to go if cost is considered although i was unaware how good the second skin was.

alot of the audio guys i know around here all use the raammat w/ excellebt results and for the price i dont think it can be beat...

i am not affiliated in anyway btw...

i have seen some of that rattmatt and fat mat and i guess you get what you pay for. ive seen some of that stuff take down a head liner and i have seen some of it fall off the deck lid and onto a sub and then it messes up the sub with not only sticky crap on it but also if you dont know its on ur sub then itll mess ur sub out. ill find this one study on SD's i think ryan has seen it too.

There is also Fat Mat that can be had on E Bay for $100/100 Sq Ft...

But out of all them Im about 99% certain Second Skin has more R&D involved...

Remember the Yugo family car ... the wego. lol.

by Jaydee23 » Tue Oct 04, 2005 4:48 am

not to knock your price but $110 for 20 sq ft?!!

is that a bit expensive??

i would suggest raammat. it is comperable to dynamat extreme. NOT asphault based, sticks very well, is 3mills?? thick...and is $99 for 62 sq ft...

also people use that bed liner stuff? never heard that before..how does it work, what apps would it be good for?
