Well I just figured I could get the ohm that I wanted when I send it in. I'll get a new amp when that time comes I guess

this is why you need to think out the system before buying anything.. and match the amplifier power to the subs you want, and the sub coil setups to the amplifiers you want.

a little forethought saves a lot of aggravation later.

they wont change?? how come they can't. My amp's not 1ohm stable damn it!!

ah well I got awhile before I start playin with my brahma

by mikechec9 » Tue Aug 16, 2005 7:03 pm

interesting. i spoke with Dan today, and he explained that i couldn't alter my 2ohm configuration because of the 3" VC on my MKII. so i'm guessing that the 2.5" vc can be changed, but not the 3"?

$115 in total?

Well if you need to change the ohms then yes its worth it. Hard to find subs new or used right now...

by High Society » Wed Aug 03, 2005 7:38 pm

Well it's $99 to recone it, Not $15. 15 is to upgrade to an MKII, and I was wondering if thats worth it.

by Ryan from Ohio » Wed Aug 03, 2005 12:34 pm

If it want you want/need then yes. Its only $15...

by High Society » Wed Aug 03, 2005 10:39 am

Nope not them Arc's, I think they sound great btw. I was askin about a brahma, it's a mkI dual2, and It needs to be reconed, so I want to recone it to dual 4's. It's a $15 dollar charge to upgrade to an mkII, is that wroth it?

by Ryan from Ohio » Wed Aug 03, 2005 5:05 am

Yes.

When they recone the only thing they use over is the frame and motor structure- oh and the binding posts. Everything else is ne new new

If your talking about them 10's for that ARC amp you can run each VC to each channel and get 200 WRMS into each sub total ;)

I was wondering, if you sent a sub in to get reconed if they can change the ohm rating on it? Ex: A dual 2ohm to a dual 4 ohm.
