as for HT subs, some of the best ones are ported, and do just fine for movies, since between the room acoustics, and the desired response characteristics of a HT sub, ported tends to give the most desireable results. Mine is ported. Take a lok at Velodyne. They make some very nice HT subs in the entry to mid level range.
If you want a really killer sub, and price is no object, look at the Krell master series sub some time, using twin 15" subs in a solid billet aluminum enclosure. It's mammoth. Something like 2600 watts for the built in amplifier.

The system will be sweet.

Has anybody heard of "Fluance" ? I just picked up a pair of floorstanding mains for my home theatre system. The best bang for the buck on the market!

hey kiki i was originally thinking about going ported on my HT sub(that i will get), then it was brought to my attention that there are plenty of movies especially new ones that go 20-10hz, so am i right or is a sealed enclosure better suited for HT unless a ported box is tunned to like 15hz(wich im sure that dosent sound right), oh and i will also be listing to music as well so i was wondering how you think i should approach this. Nice set up, i definently like youre TV.

a couple of small corrections.. I think you meant Hitachi or Mitsubishi. Good choices for RP by the way. Toshiba makes excellent RP sets as well, and very very good for the price.
