The best way to make your ride better is your favorite music; especially when driving with your child or family, you must want the most extreme riding experience. If you want to add something to your ATV, UTV, Sand Rail, Dune Buggy, or other machines, here is the perfect UTV Bluetooth Speaker for you!

ok.

I still would like to use 2 of the channels to bridge for a sub which leaves me 2 channels for 8 ohm speakers. I will see how it sounds parallel vs individual wiring.

it sounds like your best bet would be just to bridge it into 2 channels and run just the stereo speakers....you can probably adjust the gain a little higher to make up for some lost volume

So what I am hearing is that if I run them in parallel it wont increase the wattage that these speakers see (and boost the output level) in spite of lowering the impedance??
You are correct, the amplifier should produce approximately twice as much power at 4 ohms versus 8, but you would be using the bridged channel. Instead of 100 x 2 you would be putting out 200 x 1, that would be split b/t the 2 speakers, hence the same amount of power.

There are some products available that you can wire to your amp that will make it appear to be a lower impedence level. Sorry, I don't know what they are called off-hand.

yea you do kinda need stereo or you will only be recieving half the information through your speakers...

Very true, the 8 ohm stereo would provide the same wattage per speaker as 4 ohm mono, and you would retain the stereo separation. Good call Smoker :thumbsup

Should I run the speakers in parrallel to get the amp to see a 4 ohm load and minimize work on the amp and or should I bridge the amp down to 2 channels? Ideally I would like to run a sub and the tower speakers off of this singe amp. Im a bit of a newbie so please help and be gentle
I think almost everyone is gentle on here :bigwink:

The amp will not work harder at 8 ohms rather than 4 if that is what you meant, actually it will be easier on it. Lowering the impedence will make it work harder.

If the amp is bridgeable I would do what you suggested and run the speakers in parallel at 4 ohms off one bridged channel, and then run a sub off the other bridged channel. You will only be able to give your speakers 100 watt's total (50 each) given their impedence, but that should be pretty good on a boat I'm guessing :)

I'm not sure whether it is bad for the amp to have the two bridged channels working at different impedence levels, maybe someone else can chime in on that.
